• James Jones Literary Society First Novel Fellowship - March 15 deadline
  A $10,000 prize for a novel-in-progress by a U.S. writer who has not published a novel. A $33 entry fee is required. Learn more

• National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowships - March 13 deadline
  Offering $25,000 grants to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers to support writing, research, and travel. No entry fee is required. Learn more

• Tin House Fall Residency Program - applications open March 1 - March 21
  Tin House offers residencies for writers working on full-length manuscripts. Provided is a private studio apartment in Portland, a $1500 stipend, a $100 Lyft credit, and the opportunity for a public reading. Partners and children are welcome to accompany residents. Learn more
